Adoption Process

The first step in adopting a

Michiana Family Berner is

to submit an application with a $100 application fee to join our waitlist.

The application fee will be nonrefundable.

Once the application and fee are received and approved,

I will notify you and place you on the waitlist for the puppy.

The $400 cash nonrefundable deposit will be collected when your puppy is chosen and will also be applied to the purchase price of the puppy.

Secondly, I will notify you when your litter of puppies is ready to be chosen from.

We usually wait till puppies are 5 weeks old

before going through the choosing process.

We will schedule your choosing appointment

and that will happen at our home in

Goshen, IN.

We also have the option to do a zoom call if you aren't able to choose in person.

You are welcome to bring family members to the choosing appointment, but please, no other pets, though you can bring a scent item if you'd like,

to familiarize your new puppy with your home/family scents.

We do ask that you'd take shoes off before entering our home and we will provide you with hand sanitizer to protect puppies.

Third will be the delightful experience of bringing

home your very own Bernese Mountain Dog puppy.

Prior to picking up your puppy I will provide you with an email that includes food that puppy is on, supplies you may need and just

some helpful info on bringing home your new pet.

We will have you sign our contract when you pick up your puppy.

Below is a link so that you can

read through it and

be prepared to sign when you arrive.
